Membership software for cigar lounges
Your register knows what sold tonight. It has no idea who's a member, who's behind on dues or whose locker is 104. That's the part Parlor keeps track of. I built it next to a working lounge in Greenville.
How lounges handle it now, and with Parlor
Nothing fancy. It's the stuff you already do by hand.
| The job | How most lounges do it | With Parlor |
|---|---|---|
| Dues | Cash, Venmo, and a reminder text you feel weird sending | Billed on schedule by card or bank draft, with a list of who's current |
| Lockers | A whiteboard, a key box, and a list of who has what that's two members out of date | Each locker tied to a member, the people allowed in it, and what's on the shelf |
| Guests | Whatever the person working that night decides | Included guests per visit, each guest tied to the member who brought them |
| Who's a member | The bartender recognizes them. Usually. | Staff look a member up by name or number at the bar |
| Renewals | Noticed when the member stops showing up | A renewal date on every membership, so you see them coming |
What Parlor runs for a lounge
Most lounges run the membership on a register, a spreadsheet, a group text and somebody's memory. Parlor pulls the last three into one spot.
- Members and tiers
Founding, standard, corporate, whatever tiers your room sells, with what each one includes written down once.
- Dues
Monthly or annual, by card or bank draft. No more "hey, just checking on dues" texts.
- Lockers
Who holds each locker, who else can open it, and what's running low. Locker management
- Guests and check-in
An included number of guests per visit, with extra guests on passes. Guest passes and check-in
- Releases and member nights
Tell your members about a limited release or a members-only night before you post it anywhere else.
Questions owners ask
If yours isn't here, ask it on the demo. Weighing other tools? See how lounge software compares.
Do I have to replace my point of sale?
No. Cigars and drinks stay on the register you already run. Parlor handles the membership side: members, dues, lockers, guest passes and check-in. A Toast integration is in pilot so the register can tell who's a member, and Square is next.
Can members pay dues by bank draft instead of a card?
Yes. Dues run through Stripe, and members can pay by card or straight from a bank account. On a big once-a-year charge, a bank draft costs you less to process.
Is Parlor for chains or franchise lounges?
Not really. It's built for owner-operated rooms, roughly 50 to 500 members, where the owner knows the regulars by name. If you run twelve locations with a corporate IT team, you want something else.
What does it cost?
Flat monthly pricing based on how many members you have, plus a one-time setup. No percentage of your dues. I'll give you the exact number on a demo once I know your member count.
My lounge is inside a bar or restaurant. Does that work?
Yes. Plenty of lounges are a room inside a bar or a shop. Parlor doesn't care what's on the other side of the wall. It tracks the members, their dues, their lockers and their guests.
Let's look at your room.
Tell me a little about your lounge and I'll walk you through Parlor on a call, set up the way yours runs. It's a call with me, the guy who built it. There's no sales team to get passed to.
Takes a minute. I read every one of these and reply within a day.
Rather pick a time yourself? Grab a slot on my calendar.
Got it. Thank you.
I'll email you within a day to find a time that works. If it's easier, just reply to that email with a couple of times.
