Where lockers go sideways

Here's how a locker wall usually drifts. A member moves and the locker still holds four sticks and a lighter. A door opens up and sits empty for a month. The spouse who "always grabs one from Mike's locker" isn't written down anywhere.

The locker wall pays you every year, and most rooms run it on a whiteboard, a key box and whoever's worked there longest. That's fine at 12 lockers. At 40, a door sits empty for a month before anyone notices.

Parlor makes every locker a line on a list: who holds it, who else can open it, what's inside and which doors are open.

Setting it up is mostly an afternoon with your whiteboard. Leave blanks where you're not sure, and fill them in as members come in.

How much should a cigar locker cost?

Among the lounges in our pricing guide, a locker sold as an add-on to a membership has a median price of $240 a year, and a locker sold as the whole membership runs about $1,190 a year. Your market and your wall decide the rest.

Can two members share a locker?

Yes. A locker belongs to one member, and that member can name the other members allowed to use it. Staff can see that list when someone asks to get into a locker that isn't theirs.

Can members see their own locker?

Yes. Their locker number and what's on the shelf show up in their member portal, so "which one was mine again" isn't a phone call.

Does Parlor handle locker renewals and a waitlist?

Not yet. Lockers are tied to the membership today, and automatic locker renewals plus a first-come waitlist are on the build list. I'll show you where they are on a demo.

We number members and lockers the same way. Is that a problem?

No, that's a good system. Plenty of rooms make the member number the locker number, and Parlor can keep it that way so nobody learns a new one.
